Mexican Indigenous Tradition Keeper & Culture Bearer Laura Yohualtlahuiz Rios-Ramirez returns to Taylor, her High School Alma Mater to share an opening blessing & altar building workshop honoring the memory of loved ones who have transitioned. Participants are invited to bring pictures of their ancestors and will learn the basic components of preparing an ofrenda for their loved ones for Dia de los Muertos.

Workshop kit includes altar cloth, mini votive candle, water container with mini obsidian stones for protection & flowers to take home and create a sacred space of remembrance for their beloveds. Kit may be purchased HERE.

This workshop is Laura’s offering in remembrance of her carnalito Billy Rios (RIP) who shared many childhood memories in Taylor.

Good Strangers will be serving up horchata slushies and also highlighting their in-house Baker, Andrew Liebig, and his pineapple empanadas and other Mexican inspired treats.
